After initially being interviewed by Lesley and subsequently meeting Tracey, Karen, Frankie, and Martin, I knew I wanted to be part of the Becketts team. I was made to feel very welcome and included, and what really struck me is how important staff wellbeing and development is to Becketts.

I joined the Employee Benefits team in November 2023, and everyone has been helpful, many proactively offering help and support. I enjoy the working environment, the work I do and feel very much part of the team.

I think a great deal of Becketts as an employer and place to work and would not hesitate to recommend Becketts to others.

I joined Becketts having previously taken part in a week work experience during the summer, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I left my contact details so that, if a role was to arise, I would love to have an interview. A couple of months later I was working in the Employee Benefits Team at Becketts. Everybody has been very welcoming throughout the different departments, and I feel that I have settled very well into the team. I joined the Operations team here at Becketts around 8 weeks ago and from the word go I was welcomed into the team and the business as a whole by everyone. I joined Becketts on the beginning of November shortly after finishing my four years of University, this involved relocating away from home and being some distance away from most friends and family. Because of this, I was exceedingly nervous to make a start to working life. I joined Becketts in early October 2021, over a year since finishing my Business Studies degree at the University of Lincoln. I was excited to finally start in career at an established financial company and what a great place to start. I joined Becketts after a lengthy lockdown, furlough and return to work after illness. The resultant low level of confidence and high level of trepidation on my part have been met with unfailing support and encouragement from the management team and my work colleagues. Although I have only been with Becketts Financial Services for just over a month, I have been made to feel part of the team straight from the start. I have been at Becketts for just over two months and have been impressed with the positive atmosphere around the office. I had forgotten quite what that feeling was like! Being a newbie at the age of 61 was not something I was looking forward to, but I immediately felt at home as everyone made me feel very welcome and were very supportive.

For a variety of reasons, my first two months here have not been as straightforward as I might have hoped, but Richard Branson’s popular quote ‘Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of your clients’ has been in clear evidence. Returning to Becketts after completing my final year at university has proven to be a great decision.

Working with a team of likeminded individuals who consistently aim to improve, makes for a work place with an abundance of job satisfaction. The work you do is appreciated by your colleagues and support is always offered. For these reasons I couldn’t recommend Becketts highly enough.

I've been at Becketts for just over 2 months now and already feel part of the team. The advantage of working in an open plan office is that everyone interacts with everyone else and when the team is as welcoming and friendly as the staff here, that can only be a good thing. I must also say that having a Managing Director, Ian White, who is so focused on the wellbeing and happiness of his staff is refreshing in a day and age of fine margins and pushing for profitability.

Having friendly staff is backed up by the professionalism of the company as well and having offices to reflect this. The offices are something to be proud of and because of this we hope clients will want to come and conduct their meetings in them. Studying for further qualifications is actively encouraged and this has resulted in a support staff almost as qualified as the advisers they are supporting. This shows me the company truly believes in trying to improve standards within the industry.

I joined Becketts as a Senior Consultant in the Private Client team August 2018, having previously worked for a number of smaller IFA firms in the Suffolk area.

I have found the environment to be supportive, positive and friendly. There is a real emphasis on ?team?, with open communication between all areas of the business.
