I have been working for Becketts for only 3 months, but I have already established great working relationships. The workplace and culture are fantastic. One of the most things I enjoy working here is the TEAM WORK. Even when it is a hectic day, we all pull together where needed. Everyone makes time to listen, so I feel supported in my personal development and helped to overcome any difficulties. There is plenty of training available to help achieve my goals and to Grow. And the thing which impresses me a lot is the employees’ attitude, loyalty and the way The Employer takes care of people, both employees and Clients. I have never worked in place like that, and I would call it one of the best decisions of my life by joining Becketts.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far in the Financial Planning Support role at Becketts. The supportive and collaborative environment has made it a pleasure to come to work every day. I was welcomed into the Becketts family in June 2024. From day one, I have felt part of the team. After working remotely over the past 3 years, it was a great transition back into a warm and friendly office space. I have been equipped with all I need to succeed in my new role with the thorough induction process,. Having joined Beckett Asset Management in May 2024, I can certainly confirm that it is a great company for which to work. I joined the Operations team here at Becketts around 8 weeks ago and from the word go I was welcomed into the team and the business as a whole by everyone. All of my colleges have been incredibly warm and welcoming and have always been more than happy to help with any work-related and general queries that I’ve had. The outside of work social activities (such as the annual rounders game) are a real bonus as well!

I joined Becketts on the beginning of November shortly after finishing my four years of University, this involved relocating away from home and being some distance away from most friends and family. Because of this, I was exceedingly nervous to make a start to working life. I joined Becketts in early October 2021, over a year since finishing my Business Studies degree at the University of Lincoln. I was excited to finally start in career at an established financial company and what a great place to start. I joined Becketts after a lengthy lockdown, furlough and return to work after illness. The resultant low level of confidence and high level of trepidation on my part have been met with unfailing support and encouragement from the management team and my work colleagues. I have been with Becketts since September 2020 in a year which can only be described as unprecedented. I have been at Becketts for just over two months and have been impressed with the positive atmosphere around the office. I had forgotten quite what that feeling was like! Being a newbie at the age of 61 was not something I was looking forward to, but I immediately felt at home as everyone made me feel very welcome and were very supportive.

For a variety of reasons, my first two months here have not been as straightforward as I might have hoped, but Richard Branson’s popular quote ‘Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of your clients’ has been in clear evidence. I've been at Becketts for just over 2 months now and already feel part of the team. The advantage of working in an open plan office is that everyone interacts with everyone else and when the team is as welcoming and friendly as the staff here, that can only be a good thing. I must also say that having a Managing Director, Ian White, who is so focused on the wellbeing and happiness of his staff is refreshing in a day and age of fine margins and pushing for profitability.

Having friendly staff is backed up by the professionalism of the company as well and having offices to reflect this. The offices are something to be proud of and because of this we hope clients will want to come and conduct their meetings in them. Studying for further qualifications is actively encouraged and this has resulted in a support staff almost as qualified as the advisers they are supporting. I joined Becketts as a Senior Consultant in the Private Client team August 2018, having previously worked for a number of smaller IFA firms in the Suffolk area.

I have found the environment to be supportive, positive and friendly. There is a real emphasis on ?team?, with open communication between all areas of the business.
