Coronavirus is continuing to dominate the news and affect all aspects of our lives.

The team at Becketts is proactively exploring ways in which we can continue to work with our clients over the forthcoming weeks and months, and the following information outlines our actions:

Minimising Transmission

We are taking pre-emptive steps to minimise the risk of coronavirus being transmitted in our workplaces, following advice from the Government and Public Health England.

In this respect, the Becketts team will be working from home, wherever possible.

Individuals are provided with the devices they need to work remotely, and phone calls can be answered whilst working outside of the office.

We are instructing individuals to self-isolate if they:

  • are displaying symptoms of the virus
  • have family members who are displaying symptoms
  • may have come into contact with coronavirus

Meetings in our offices

We have taken the decision that all meetings should be carried out remotely, or should be rearranged in order to help protect you and our people.

Office closures

In the event that the spread of the virus results in office closures, we will implement a robust business continuity plan that will enable us to continue providing a good level of service to you and your business.

Our client records are held electronically which means that we will be able to access almost all necessary documentation and systems remotely whilst following our usual processes and controls.

We will arrange all post to be redirected, scanned and distributed electronically to teams, but there could be a delay in receiving this information. We therefore encourage you to use email to send us this information wherever possible.

Investment Management

Our investment team continues to monitor developments closely; we are reviewing our positions and looking for opportunities in rapidly-changing markets, whilst looking to minimise risk in volatile markets.

Next Steps

We remain committed to the safety of our clients and people and are confident that the steps introduced will avoid any material disruption to our business.

We will, however, continue to monitor developments and provide updates as the situation evolves.

Your Sincerely

Ian White, Managing Director
